Is it illegal to own a sword in texas or just to carry it? if not how old do you have to be to own one?

Answer:
It is legal to own a sword, as it is in every state. Carrying it is ok too provided it is not concealed under your coat like highlander or something. That's not to say the police wouldn't stop you to ask what the heck you're doing. As to how old you have to be: If you are asking, you are too young. Wait until you're 18.
