It should not be, but it doesn't matter--do not do anything on a college campus to attract attention to yourself or you will find yourself in a Stalinist Siberian labor camp. While on campus, normal laws and individual rights and freedoms are suspended. Almost any expression of independent thought will get you jailed. BE CAREFUL.

It's not illegal. However, most colleges have specific policy against it. If your school makes you log into the library computer before you can go online, I would be extremely careful. I used to aide for my high school library a few years ago and whenever someone went on a site that was prohibited, it would pop up on the administrator's screen. He could tell exactly which site they were on, which computer it was, and who was logged into it. So if you log into that computer, I'd think again before doing anything against policy...
