Is it illegal to swear in presence of children in the streets?

Answer:
I think it is. Around here (Chesapeake, VA) it is illegal to swear in public. If you're caught, you're in trouble. Virginia is a conservative religious state. I hate VA!
I don't know where you live, but if you come to Virginia Beach, VA, watch your language. Not too long ago a young lady came out of a 7-11 and used the F word several times and a cop heard her. It cost her $250 and a lot of embarrassment. Better check your city codes.
No.
**** no!
If it isn't--it should be!
you wouldn't believe what is illegal in some hick states. But really, it isn't, unless you are really loud, then you might be disturbing the peace.
In the civilized areas , but reality . . .
Lots of scum areas where anything happens .
No but it should be. It is hard enough raising children it doesn't help to have to explain what @#$# %^%$ @##@% means when you are walking in the mall
Some agencies could charge you with disorderly conduct.
Nope....
Are you kidding? Today, they should make it illegal for the kids to swear in the presence of adults in the streets! Some of those street kids are far worse than the kids in South Park!
in what country?
No..while this is detestable..it is constitutionally protected.
